How to Make a Perfect Waldorf Salad – Diabetic Recipe

The traditional salad of lettuce, apples, nuts, and cherries perfect for diabetics, with a Waldorf-style yogurt and mayonnaise sauce with simple and quick steps.

Waldorf Salad Ingredients

  • 4 Lettuce.
  • 3 celery sprigs.
  • 2 Apples.
  • 125 grams nuts.

  • 30 ml of vinegar.
  • 150 ml olive oil, extra virgin.

Steps to making Waldorf Salad

  1. To start we will roast the walnuts slightly in a pan, after a few minutes that they are already toasted we will reserve them while they cool and proceed to cut them into large pieces.
  2. Now to prepare the mayonnaise we get a bottomed container, add the egg yolk, salamis and start beating with a whisk or whatever you have by hand, incorporate the oil in the fine jet to make the emulsion and to finish we add the vinegar and place it cold.
